What is ORD?
- It is easy to see why one can obsess over Robert Pattinson.
- For one, he is British. Okay some may contest that but, have you heard the guy speak? My thoughts exactly.
- He is referred to as “gloriously handsome”.
- Besides that he is musically-gifted; he composes, plays the guitar and the
- piano (since 3).
- A very close friend has said “He’s a great singer. Heartbreaking.”
- (We believe her).
- He broods a lot and does not feel the need to dress to the nines
- ( ho*coughs*bo ) making him look like a radical boy next door.
- The James Dean of the 21st century? Possibly.
- At the same time, he can break anyone’s resolve with his disarming smile.
- Girls or rather Anyone, age 1 to 92 , are somehow not immune to
- The Pattinson Effect.
- Both men and women are in awe of Kristen Stewart.
- Not only because she has played interesting characters since she was 10, but mostly because she stands out from the typical Young Hollywood crowd.
- She does not care about the trappings of being famous. Her answers to
- interviews are intelligent, intuitive and brave.
- She is wise beyond her years. A very close friend has said “She's a unique girl.
- You really don't meet many people like Kristen." (We believe him).
- Besides that she is naturally gorgeous, with the most captivating green eyes
- and a physique (can you say endless legs ?) that every girl envies.
- Countless people love Rob. They swoon just by hearing his name.
- And so many people adore Kristen. They wish they could meet or date her or
- be like her.
- But not all people love Rob and Kristen together. As a team. As a couple.
- (We are not talking of Edward and Bella here by the way).
- And that’s what makes a certain percentage of the fans different.
- These are the R/K shippers or Robsten-shippers.
- We love and adore this couple.
- So much that it confounds us.

- Because most of us have never cared this much for a Hollywood couple.
- Not until Rob and Kristen met in the Twilight set.
- Everyone thought they have gone "crazy".
- But soon they realized they were not alone.
- A group of girls from different countries met online one day and discussed the mind-boggling pull of this pair.
- And one of them (witty Bell) creatively decided to call it “ORD”
- for Obsessive Robsten Disorder, to define what one is going through
- (as opposed to suffering from) when one is under R/K's spell.
- It sounds like an incurable disease right?
- Maybe it is incurable. (We aren’t actually wishing for a cure).
- But it certainly is not a disease since it gives one more joys than pain.

Merriam-Webster defines Obsession (n) as “a persistent disturbing preoccupation - with an often unreasonable idea or feeling."
- I guess it’s true - it is a preoccupation. But disturbing? not uncomfortably so.
- Unreasonable? maybe, but only to those outside the bubble :)
- Words fail us when we try to explain this “obsession”.
- There is just something indefinable about Rob and Kristen together.
- The closest would probably be magic.
- But that isn’t even enough for others.
- And frankly, not one single word will give it justice.
- So we give up introspecting and trying our best to give out well-thought-of answers to the Whats and the Whys of the rest of the world.
- We settle with calling it ORD.
- And just enjoy the ride.
